Januray - March Edition 2010

 

Super Sunday January 17^th – Our special guest for the first Super Sunday of 2010 were Pastor  John Morgan of Chicago Illinois and  musical guest Mr. Lynxx. Pastor Morgan shared a powerful word to the youth and also shared his personal testimony. Our youth were inspired and motivated and also enjoyed the musical presentation from Mr. Lynxx who shared some of his new songs along with old favorites.

HO Nash Jr. High – Pastor Dave shared at a motivation seminar for troubled students at H.O. Nash. His presentation was well received.

Feb 19th - The Way Love Goes Feb,19th  The first TYC Special event was a great success as Collage presented a short film which was interspersed with a special word by Pastor Dave on the topic “The Way Love Should Go”. Also ministering at the event were musical guests Royal T, Ryan Jupp, DJ Counsellor and Mr. Lynxx.

Queens College Feb 23rd – Pastor Dave served as one of the featured guest speakers for the boys of Queens College for the Father and Son day. Pastor Dave shared on the importance of right choices and shared his personal testimony. Many of the boys asked questions and stated that they were blessed by the inspirational message, particularly Pastor Dave’s personal testimony.

Young Champions Boys Club had their first parents meeting the second week in January, the aim was to update the parents on upcoming events and trips, the boys club is still operating on Tuesday at 6pm Clubs are now operational at several schools including DW Davis, HO.Nash,  Sadie Curtis and soon to start at Charles Saunders High School.

Friday Night  Live Meetings.

Friday night have continued with a number of special guests including Mr. and Mrs. Minnis from Bahamas Harvest Church as guest speakers, and guest artist such as, Ryan Jupp, V Mac, J Chase and a step crew called the Hype Boys.

Boys Industrial School (Juvenile Detention Center), Gavin Tynes School Young Champions group, Temple Christian primary DW Davis Jr. High, among others. DJ Counsellor has also ministered at several churches and events such as; Unity benefit Concert For Haiti in  Abaco, New Life Christian Center, Church Of God and St Michael’s Methodist Church

TYC also played host to guests from the logos ship who shared at TYC meetings in Drama

Holy Family Catholic Church Youth Retreat 20^th Pastor Dave was one of the special guest speakers for this retreat. He spoke about overcoming bad choices and shared his testimony of rising above drugs, violence and sexual promiscuity.

TYC hosted the Emergency Hostel Outreach Where Minister Corey led the team of leaders and youth as they ministered to the less fortunate children of the home.
